D2 steel is high wear-resisting micro deformation of cold work die steel, belong to the wind type hard tool steel.The mass fraction of the carbon steel is as high as 1.5%, mass fraction of chromium is as high as 11.5%, the hardness after heat treatment can reach 60 HRC, but relatively ductility, toughness, rust resistant ability is weak, the steel surface is also difficult to make mirror polishing processing.With cold stamping products towards high precision, high efficiency, the development of more varieties, for die steel has good abrasion resistance and toughness.Compared with Cr12MoV steel, on chemical composition of the steel increased Mo, V, changed the steel casting organization, improved the morphology of austenite dish, strong toughness and abrasion resistance is better than that of Cr12MoV steel, improve the service life of the mold.Due to the yield point and the plastic deformation resistance of the steel is Cr12MoV steel is high, so the forging properties and hot molding Cr12MoV steels are slightly older.

Heat treatment specification
Quenching, 820 + 15 ℃ preheat, 820 + 6 ℃ (salt bath) or 1010 + 6 ℃ heating furnace atmosphere,
Cold insulation 10 ~ 20 min, empty, 200 + 6 ℃ tempering.
