X1NiCrMoCu31-27-4, 1.4563, Alloy 28, UNS N08028 - Detail
Seamless circular steel tubes for mechanical and general engineering purposes - Technical delivery conditions - Part 2: Stainless steel, Austenitic steel designed to deal with sour gas, phosphoric, sulphuric and acetic acids, and vinyl chloride. It is used for heat exchangers, coolers, tanks, pumps and pipelines in the chemical, cryogenic, paper, petrochemical and energy industries, for elements of mining platforms, and for aircraft structures, screws and valves. It has a better corrosion resistance than UNS N08904 / 904L / 1.4539.The steel is resistant to intergranular corrosion in the delivery condition. It also has an excellent resistance to stress corrosion cracking phenomena, particularly in case of hot chloride environments. The alloy belongs to the welding group ISO 8.2; Preheating is not necessary.
